- I wrote a libvirt provider for Terraform. It became my 2nd most popular open-source project, with > 1.6k Github stars and used by many companies world-wide.
- As part of my work, I had the chance to start contributing to Salt. My teams were the largest contributors outside Saltstack.
- I wrote a library to access bugzilla in Go
- For learning purposes, I wrote a simple Docker v2 registry auth server in Go
- I wrote a kind-of-working Qt backend for the qemacs editor.
- As part of my work at SUSE, I had the chance to send my first contributions to Spacewalk. My teams were the largest contributors after Redhat.

- I implemented a pure FFI version of Ruby bindings for the rpm package manager.
- I wrote a library to access bugzilla from Ruby
- I created a desktop applet to sync folders using csync. Not longer maintained, but it was adopted as the base for the Owncloud desktop client (later Nextcloud).
- A WBEM (CIM) client in Ruby, implemented using the sfcc library from IBM.
- I implemented a Kopete protocol plugin for Facebook chat.
- I started a multi-protocol chat client for KDE and it became the 2nd most popular messenger in the Linux world at the time.
